The Bennett County School District is seeking grant funding from the South Dakota Department of Education to offer afterschool programs for the 2025-2026 School Year as well as a four-week summer program. These programs will provide students with academic support and a safe, enriching environment outside of school hours. The South Dakota School for the Deaf (SDSD) will conduct free hearing screenings at our school for grades PK, K-3, 5th, 7th and 11th grade. The screening will take place on February 10th. You will be notified if your child does not pass the hearing screening.

Shoutout to Mr. Cotton and the high school students for their amazing gift to our elementary school! 🎉 They repurposed wood from the old middle school gym to create a beautiful bench for our students. Thank you for your hard work and creativity! 💙

Mr Cottons class has done it again! They presented another bench they made to the middle school. Awesome job of repurposing the seats from the old school.


The Science Culminating Night was a huge success thanks to all of the students, Mrs. Laureano, Mrs. Asong, and volunteers. Well done! More photos will be added as they come in. We are so proud of our science Warriors!

Due to the cold temperatures, the Bennett County School Board Meeting has been moved to Wednesday, January 22 at 5:00 in the Library Community Room.
There will be no school tomorrow, January 20 due to the extreme cold temperatures.

Here is the scenario:
BCHS Forensic Science students acted as scholastic secret agents. During a young girl's birthday party, six of her stuffed toys mysteriously disappeared. After some time, they were returned to their original spots, but with strange powder residue on them. The six friends who attended the party provide accounts of what they did while at the birthday party. The student's were tasked to link the substance on the toys to the possible culprit.
